I Don't Think So

Let me just clarify a few things for you really fast. First of all... Betos' or Rancheritos, or Los Berto's, or whatever other "Beto's" you choose to attend will cost you about 4 dollars for more digestive issues and delicious carne asada than you can really handle.

On the other hand... Gourmandise will cost you about 8 dollars for a cookie that you will think is only okay and you have to eat with a fork and cloth napkin.

I was just thinking.... Dear internet that perhaps, someone looking up Beto's locations might not actually also like Gourmandise. They might be interested in a local donut shop, or the local Maverick convenience store.

Wednesday

Speaking of O.co

It look like our friend Bark has been purchasing some new hardware from me on site. Listen... Bark. You can totally order direct. We are basically family!

Monday

Professionalism is Lame

I work with Overstock.... Every single day. So when I received an email from them in my personal email I didn't think much of it.
Wait a second Trevor. I haven't purchased any work out equipment from site. And I don't sell them either. Suspicious.

So I Responded and said:

"Dear Trevor,

I can appreciate the high level of customer service Overstock is attempting to provide me. Perhaps this is a hint from the powers that be that I should be looking into such a purchase. However, the only thing I have ever purchased from your website is a sewing machine. No exercise there. For now I will remain happily chubby.

Annie Hall

Oh Trevor.... So much potential... and you had to go and be professional.

When She's Here

Sometimes I get jealous. You see my mom is around a lot. A LOT. However, I am rarely the one who takes note of it. But I have a few friends who are very aware of her presence (Cam, Zacula, Lolly) . I also have a few friends I know she likes a lot. A LOT! I even have one friend who in his darkest hour had a very cool interaction with her. I won't record it here but if you want to ask, I'll tell you the story.

Well what the heck? I don't mind sharing but, I need her too. Seriously.
Tonight though I took my bed apart. I took it down the stairs and outside by myself. It's really big, taller than me big. I took it outside to stain it and do some repairs. I turned my iPod to Alabama and cranked it (the neighbors like it.) About halfway through, as content as can be, I realized mom was there.

Then other thoughts came to my mind, times when I know she is with me.

She would never let her girls go fishing without her. Never. She would never let her girls go to a Keith Urban concert and dance in the front row without her. She would never let me come home from a date without a full report. She would never miss all five of her kids sitting at a restaurant just chatting while the staff shuts the place down. She would never let me cry my little heart out without cuddling up with me and stroking my hair. She would never let Cam, Megan, and her girls stalk ”The Hamster” without her. She would never miss the opportunity to pamper me when I'm sick.

Dave says I shouldn't be jealous. He says she's around me all the time, I just don't notice it because I'm so used to her. Tonight while I was working on my bed, I realized that I was in another moment she wouldn't have missed. I realized Dave is right, there are more moments than I realize that she wouldn't miss for anything.

Sometimes, like when I almost died a few months ago her presence was so strong in the room she was as close to a physical presence as a spiritual being can be. Others, like tonight it is just a whisper in my heart, a closeness I can't explain. It's knowing she needs me as much as I need her.

Thursday

Cast of Characters

I have added a "Cast of Characters" tab to my blog. Now you never have to wonder who someone is that I mention frequently. They are listed there and if  there is a picture of the two of us I have included it. A face always makes the story better.

If there is no picture of us together or at least goofing off together (the Kyle and Jeep picture) then shame on you.

Sick

Did anyone else have a favorite movie you watched when you were sick? Mine was My Fair Lady. I would just watch it on repeat all day.

The worst was when Katy was sick too. I always felt like she was trying to steal my sick time with mom. And sharing the couch is the worst. Being sick is miserable. But mom would spoil us rotten. I miss that.

I desperately need a Jamba right now. But I don't want to ask anyone because I don't want to be like this crazy girl in one of my old wards. She called everyone in the ward to ask them to bring her some grapes.

I love to wear my boyfriend's sweater when I'm sick. But I don't have a boyfriend. I have an ex-boyfriend but Katy stole his sweater from me. So I'm wearing a sweater I bought for a boyfriend but never gave to him because it's so comfy I kept it. Does that count? Probably not, because it doesn't smell like a man.

Where Did You Come From?

”I don't know why someone our age would ever want to date an 18 year old. Don't you want something going on behind the eyes you're starting into?”~TB

Um hello who is this man?
My name is Annie.

”I like a girl who speaks her mind.”~TB
”I wasn't planning on having a super bowl party, but if you're coming...”~TB
”I like that you don't hold back. That you are already yourself with me.”~TB
”You can sleep while I drive.”~TB

Wait a second, is that Brad Paisley on the radio?

”Yeah, I love country.”~TB
”Let's make sure this happens again real soon.”~TB

Let's be honest. I'll probably never see this man again. But I am grateful that this weekend Heavenly Father showed me that there are still a few good ones left.

And that I have the most amazing friends in the world. Seriously.
